1Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
1你們要讚美耶和華！要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善；他的慈愛永遠長存！
2Who can speak of the mighty deeds of the LORD, Or can show forth all His praise?
2誰能傳說耶和華的大能？誰能表明他一切的美德？
3How blessed are those who keep justice, Who practice righteousness at all times!
3凡遵守公平﹔常行公義的，這人便為有福！
4Remember me, O LORD, in [Your] favor toward Your people; Visit me with Your salvation,
4耶和華啊，你用恩惠待你的百姓；求你也用這恩惠記念我，開你的救恩眷顧我，
5That I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, That I may glory with Your inheritance.
5使我見你選民的福，樂你國民的樂，與你的產業一同誇耀。
6We have sinned like our fathers, We have committed iniquity, we have behaved wickedly.
6我們與我們的祖宗一同犯罪；我們作了孽，行了惡。
7Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember Your abundant kindnesses, But rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.
7我們的祖宗在埃及不明白你的奇事，不記念你豐盛的慈愛，反倒在紅海行了悖逆。
8Nevertheless He saved them for the sake of His name, That He might make His power known.
8然而，他因自己的名拯救他們，為要彰顯他的大能，
9Thus He rebuked the Red Sea and it dried up, And He led them through the deeps, as through the wilderness.
9並且斥責紅海，海便乾了；他帶領他們經過深處，如同經過曠野。
10So He saved them from the hand of the one who hated [them], And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
10他拯救他們脫離恨他們人的手，從仇敵手中救贖他們。
11The waters covered their adversaries; Not one of them was left.
11水淹沒他們的敵人，沒有一個存留。
12Then they believed His words; They sang His praise.
12那時，他們才信了他的話，歌唱讚美他。
13They quickly forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel,
13等不多時，他們就忘了他的作為，不仰望他的指教，
14But craved intensely in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert.
14反倒在曠野大起慾心，在荒地試探神。
15So He gave them their request, But sent a wasting disease among them.
15他將他們所求的賜給他們，卻使他們的心靈軟弱。
16When they became envious of Moses in the camp, And of Aaron, the holy one of the LORD,
16他們又在營中嫉妒摩西和耶和華的聖者亞倫。
17The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, And engulfed the company of Abiram.
17地裂開，吞下大坍，掩蓋亞比蘭一黨的人。
18And a fire blazed up in their company; The flame consumed the wicked.
18有火在他們的黨中發起；有火燄燒燬了惡人。
19They made a calf in Horeb And worshiped a molten image.
19他們在何烈山造了牛犢，叩拜鑄成的像。
20Thus they exchanged their glory For the image of an ox that eats grass.
20如此將他們榮耀的主換為吃草之牛的像，
21They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt,
21忘了神─他們的救主；他曾在埃及行大事，
22Wonders in the land of Ham [And] awesome things by the Red Sea.
22在含地行奇事，在紅海行可畏的事。
23Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood in the breach before Him, To turn away His wrath from destroying [them].
23所以，他說要滅絕他們；若非有他所揀選的摩西站在當中（原文是破口），使他的忿怒轉消，恐怕他就滅絕他們。
24Then they despised the pleasant land; They did not believe in His word,
24他們又藐視那美地，不信他的話，
25But grumbled in their tents; They did not listen to the voice of the LORD.
25在自己帳棚內發怨言，不聽耶和華的聲音。
26Therefore He swore to them That He would cast them down in the wilderness,
26所以，他對他們起誓：必叫他們倒在曠野，
27And that He would cast their seed among the nations And scatter them in the lands.
27叫他們的後裔倒在列國之中，分散在各地。
28They joined themselves also to Baal-peor, And ate sacrifices offered to the dead.
28他們又與巴力•毗珥連合，且吃了祭死神（或譯：人）的物。
29Thus they provoked [Him] to anger with their deeds, And the plague broke out among them.
29他們這樣行，惹耶和華發怒，便有瘟疫流行在他們中間。
30Then Phinehas stood up and interposed, And so the plague was stayed.
30那時，非尼哈站起，刑罰惡人，瘟疫這才止息。
31And it was reckoned to him for righteousness, To all generations forever.
31那就算為他的義，世世代代，直到永遠。
32They also provoked [Him] to wrath at the waters of Meribah, So that it went hard with Moses on their account;
32他們在米利巴水又叫耶和華發怒，甚至摩西也受了虧損，
33Because they were rebellious against His Spirit, He spoke rashly with his lips.
33是因他們惹動他的靈，摩西（原文是他）用嘴說了急躁的話。
34They did not destroy the peoples, As the LORD commanded them,
34他們不照耶和華所吩咐的滅絕外邦人，
35But they mingled with the nations And learned their practices,
35反與他們混雜相合，學習他們的行為，
36And served their idols, Which became a snare to them.
36事奉他們的偶像，這就成了自己的網羅，
37They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons,
37把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，
38And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with the blood.
38流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血污穢了。
39Thus they became unclean in their practices, And played the harlot in their deeds.
39這樣，他們被自己所做的污穢了，在行為上犯了邪淫。
40Therefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against His people And He abhorred His inheritance.
40所以，耶和華的怒氣向他的百姓發作，憎惡他的產業，
41Then He gave them into the hand of the nations, And those who hated them ruled over them.
41將他們交在外邦人的手裡；恨他們的人就轄制他們。
42Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were subdued under their power.
42他們的仇敵也欺壓他們，他們就伏在敵人手下。
43Many times He would deliver them; They, however, were rebellious in their counsel, And [so] sank down in their iniquity.
43他屢次搭救他們，他們卻設謀背逆，因自己的罪孽降為卑下。
44Nevertheless He looked upon their distress When He heard their cry;
44然而，他聽見他們哀告的時候，就眷顧他們的急難，
45And He remembered His covenant for their sake, And relented according to the greatness of His lovingkindness.
45為他們記念他的約，照他豐盛的慈愛後悔。
46He also made them [objects] of compassion In the presence of all their captors.
46他也使他們在凡擄掠他們的人面前蒙憐恤。
47Save us, O LORD our God, And gather us from among the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name And glory in Your praise.
47耶和華─我們的神啊，求你拯救我們，從外邦中招聚我們，我們好稱讚你的聖名，以讚美你為誇勝。
48Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, 'Amen.' Praise the LORD!
48耶和華─以色列的神是應當稱頌的，從亙古直到永遠。願眾民都說：阿們！你們要讚美耶和華！
