When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google). We also store your Bible highlights, notes, and reading preferences.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to provide personalized features such as verse highlighting, reading preferences, and account management. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication. User data (highlights, profiles) is stored in Firebase Firestore with security rules limiting access to authorized users.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Firebase (authentication and database), Bolls API (Bible text), Vercel (hosting and analytics). Each service has its own privacy policy governing data it processes.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use localStorage to save your reading preferences (translation, column layout, language). Firebase uses IndexedDB for authentication tokens. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage statistics.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You may delete your account at any time, which will remove your profile and associated data.
