1'For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.
1因為天國好像家主清早去雇人進他的葡萄園做工，
2'When he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius for the day, he sent them into his vineyard.
2和工人講定一天一錢銀子，就打發他們進葡萄園去。
3'And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the market place;
3約在巳初出去，看見市上還有閒站的人，
4and to those he said, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.' And [so] they went.
4就對他們說：你們也進葡萄園去，所當給的，我必給你們。他們也進去了。
5'Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did the same thing.
5約在午正和申初又出去，也是這樣行。
6'And about the eleventh [hour] he went out and found others standing [around]; and he said to them, 'Why have you been standing here idle all day long?'
6約在酉初出去，看見還有人站在那裡，就問他們說：你們為甚麼整天在這裡閒站呢？
7'They said to him, 'Because no one hired us.' He said to them, 'You go into the vineyard too.'
7他們說：因為沒有人雇我們。他說：你們也進葡萄園去。
8'When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, 'Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last [group] to the first.'
8到了晚上，園主對管事的說：叫工人都來，給他們工錢，從後來的起，到先來的為止。
9'When those [hired] about the eleventh hour came, each one received a denarius.
9約在酉初雇的人來了，各人得了一錢銀子。
10'When those [hired] first came, they thought that they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius.
10及至那先雇的來了，他們以為必要多得；誰知也是各得一錢。
11'When they received it, they grumbled at the landowner,
11他們得了，就埋怨家主說：
12saying, 'These last men have worked [only] one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the scorching heat of the day.'
12我們整天勞苦受熱，那後來的只做了一小時，你竟叫他們和我們一樣麼？
13'But he answered and said to one of them, 'Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius?
13家主回答其中的一人說：朋友，我不虧負你，你與我講定的不是一錢銀子麼？
14'Take what is yours and go, but I wish to give to this last man the same as to you.
14拿你的走罷！我給那後來的和給你一樣，這是我願意的。
15'Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?'
15我的東西難道不可隨我的意思用麼？因為我作好人，你就紅了眼麼？
16'So the last shall be first, and the first last.'
16這樣，那在後的，將要在前；在前的，將要在後了。（有古卷在此有：因為被召的人多，選上的人少。）
17As Jesus was about to go up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve [disciples] aside by themselves, and on the way He said to them,
17耶穌上耶路撒冷去的時候，在路上把十二個門徒帶到一邊，對他們說：
18'Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,
18看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交給祭司長和文士。他們要定他死罪，
19and will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and scourge and crucify [Him], and on the third day He will be raised up.'
19又交給外邦人，將他戲弄，鞭打，釘在十字架上；第三日他要復活。
20Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to Jesus with her sons, bowing down and making a request of Him.
20那時，西庇太兒子的母親同他兩個兒子上前來拜耶穌，求他一件事。
21And He said to her, 'What do you wish?' She said to Him, 'Command that in Your kingdom these two sons of mine may sit one on Your right and one on Your left.'
21耶穌說：你要甚麼呢？他說：願你叫我這兩個兒子在你國裡，一個坐在你右邊，一個坐在你左邊。
22But Jesus answered, 'You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?' They said to Him, 'We are able.'
22耶穌回答說：你們不知道所求的是甚麼；我將要喝的杯，你們能喝麼？他們說：我們能。
23He said to them, 'My cup you shall drink; but to sit on My right and on [My] left, this is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.'
23耶穌說：我所喝的杯，你們必要喝；只是坐在我的左右，不是我可以賜的，乃是我父為誰預備的，就賜給誰。
24And hearing [this], the ten became indignant with the two brothers.
24那十個門徒聽見，就惱怒他們弟兄二人。
25But Jesus called them to Himself and said, 'You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and [their] great men exercise authority over them.
25耶穌叫了他們來，說：你們知道外邦人有君王為主治理他們，有大臣操權管束他們。
26'It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant,
26只是在你們中間，不可這樣；你們中間誰願為大，就必作你們的用人；
27and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave;
27誰願為首，就必作你們的僕人。
28just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.'
28正如人子來，不是要受人的服事，乃是要服事人，並且要捨命，作多人的贖價。
29As they were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed Him.
29他們出耶利哥的時候，有極多的人跟隨他。
30And two blind men sitting by the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, 'Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!'
30有兩個瞎子坐在路旁，聽說是耶穌經過，就喊著說：主阿，大衛的子孫，可憐我們罷！
31The crowd sternly told them to be quiet, but they cried out all the more, 'Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!'
31眾人責備他們，不許他們作聲；他們卻越發喊著說：主阿，大衛的子孫，可憐我們罷！
32And Jesus stopped and called them, and said, 'What do you want Me to do for you?'
32耶穌就站住，叫他們來，說：要我為你們做甚麼？
33They said to Him, 'Lord, [we want] our eyes to be opened.'
33他們說：主阿，要我們的眼睛能看見！
34Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him.
34耶穌就動了慈心，把他們的眼睛一摸，他們立刻看見，就跟從了耶穌。
