1Thus says the LORD, 'Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and there speak this word
1耶和華如此說：你下到猶大王的宮中，在那著說這話，
2and say, 'Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, who sits on David's throne, you and your servants and your people who enter these gates.
2說：坐大衛寶座的猶大王啊，你和你的臣僕，並進入城門的百姓，都當聽耶和華的話。
3'Thus says the LORD, 'Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one who has been robbed from the power of [his] oppressor. Also do not mistreat [or] do violence to the stranger, the orphan, or the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place.
3耶和華如此說：你們要施行公平和公義，拯救被搶奪的脫離欺壓人的手，不可虧負寄居的和孤兒寡婦，不可以強暴待他們，在這地方也不可流無辜人的血。
4'For if you men will indeed perform this thing, then kings will enter the gates of this house, sitting in David's place on his throne, riding in chariots and on horses, [even the king] himself and his servants and his people.
4你們若認真行這事，就必有坐大衛寶座的君王和他的臣僕百姓，或坐車或騎馬，從這城的各門進入。
5'But if you will not obey these words, I swear by Myself,' declares the LORD, 'that this house will become a desolation.'''
5你們若不聽這些話，耶和華說：我指著自己起誓，這城必變為荒場。
6For thus says the LORD concerning the house of the king of Judah: 'You are [like] Gilead to Me, [Like] the summit of Lebanon; Yet most assuredly I will make you like a wilderness, [Like] cities which are not inhabited.
6耶和華論到猶大王的家如此說：我看你如基列，如利巴嫩頂；然而，我必使你變為曠野，為無人居住的城邑。
7'For I will set apart destroyers against you, Each with his weapons; And they will cut down your choicest cedars And throw [them] on the fire.
7我要預備行毀滅的人，各拿器械攻擊你；他們要砍下你佳美的香柏樹，扔在火中。
8'Many nations will pass by this city; and they will say to one another, 'Why has the LORD done thus to this great city?'
8許多國的民要經過這城，各人對鄰舍說：耶和華為何向這大城如此行呢？
9'Then they will answer, 'Because they forsook the covenant of the LORD their God and bowed down to other gods and served them.''
9他們必回答說：是因離棄了耶和華─他們神的約，事奉敬拜別 神。
10Do not weep for the dead or mourn for him, [But] weep continually for the one who goes away; For he will never return Or see his native land.
10不要為死人哭號；不要為他悲傷，卻要為離家出外的人大大哭號；因為他不得再回來，也不得再見他的本國。
11For thus says the LORD in regard to Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who became king in the place of Josiah his father, who went forth from this place, 'He will never return there;
11因為耶和華論到從這地方出去的猶大王約西亞的兒子沙龍（在王下23：30名約哈斯），就是接續他父親約西亞作王的，這樣說：他必不得再回到這裡來，
12but in the place where they led him captive, there he will die and not see this land again.
12卻要死在被擄去的地方，必不得再見這地。
13'Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness And his upper rooms without justice, Who uses his neighbor's services without pay And does not give him his wages,
13那行不義蓋房、行不公造樓、白白使用人的手工不給工價的有禍了！
14Who says, 'I will build myself a roomy house With spacious upper rooms, And cut out its windows, Paneling [it] with cedar and painting [it] bright red.'
14他說：我要為自己蓋廣大的房、寬敞的樓，為自己開窗戶。這樓房的護牆板是香柏木的，樓房是丹色油漆的。
15'Do you become a king because you are competing in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink And do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.
15難道你作王是在乎造香柏木樓房爭勝麼？你的父親豈不是也吃也喝、也施行公平和公義麼？那時他得了福樂。
16'He pled the cause of the afflicted and needy; Then it was well. Is not that what it means to know Me?' Declares the LORD.
16他為困苦和窮乏人伸冤，那時就得了福樂。認識我不在乎此麼？這是耶和華說的。
17'But your eyes and your heart Are [intent] only upon your own dishonest gain, And on shedding innocent blood And on practicing oppression and extortion.'
17惟有你的眼和你的心專顧貪婪，流無辜人的血，行欺壓和強暴。
18Therefore thus says the LORD in regard to Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, 'They will not lament for him: 'Alas, my brother!' or, 'Alas, sister!' They will not lament for him: 'Alas for the master!' or, 'Alas for his splendor!'
18所以，耶和華論到猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬如此說：人必不為他舉哀說：哀哉！我的哥哥；或說：哀哉！我的姊姊；也不為他舉哀說：哀哉！我的主；或說：哀哉！我主的榮華。
19'He will be buried with a donkey's burial, Dragged off and thrown out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
19他被埋葬，好像埋驢一樣，要拉出去扔在耶路撒冷的城門之外。
20'Go up to Lebanon and cry out, And lift up your voice in Bashan; Cry out also from Abarim, For all your lovers have been crushed.
20你要上利巴嫩哀號，在巴珊揚聲，從亞巴琳哀號，因為你所親愛的都毀滅了。
21'I spoke to you in your prosperity; But you said, 'I will not listen!' This has been your practice from your youth, That you have not obeyed My voice.
21你興盛的時候，我對你說話；你卻說：我不聽。你自幼年以來總是這樣，不聽從我的話。
22'The wind will sweep away all your shepherds, And your lovers will go into captivity; Then you will surely be ashamed and humiliated Because of all your wickedness.
22你的牧人要被風吞吃，你所親愛的必被擄去；那時你必因你一切的惡抱愧蒙羞。
23'You who dwell in Lebanon, Nested in the cedars, How you will groan when pangs come upon you, Pain like a woman in childbirth!
23你這住利巴嫩、在香柏樹上搭窩的，有痛苦臨到你，好像疼痛臨到產難的婦人，那時你何等可憐！
24'As I live,' declares the LORD, 'even though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were a signet [ring] on My right hand, yet I would pull you off;
24耶和華說：猶大王約雅敬的兒子哥尼雅（又名耶哥尼雅；下同），雖是我右手上帶印的戒指，我憑我的永生起誓，也必將你從其上摘下來，
25and I will give you over into the hand of those who are seeking your life, yes, into the hand of those whom you dread, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
25並且我必將你交給尋索你命的人和你所懼怕的人手中，就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒和迦勒底人的手中。
26'I will hurl you and your mother who bore you into another country where you were not born, and there you will die.
26我也必將你和生你的母親趕到別國，並不是你們生的地方；你們必死在那裡，
27'But as for the land to which they desire to return, they will not return to it.
27但心中甚想歸回之地，必不得歸回。
28'Is this man Coniah a despised, shattered jar? Or is he an undesirable vessel? Why have he and his descendants been hurled out And cast into a land that they had not known?
28哥尼雅這人是被輕看、破壞的器皿麼？是無人喜愛的器皿麼？他和他的後裔為何被趕到不認識之地呢？
29'O land, land, land, Hear the word of the LORD!
29地啊，地啊，地啊，當聽耶和華的話！
30'Thus says the LORD, 'Write this man down childless, A man who will not prosper in his days; For no man of his descendants will prosper Sitting on the throne of David Or ruling again in Judah.''
30耶和華如此說：要寫明這人算為無子，是平生不得亨通的；因為他後裔中再無一人得亨通，能坐在大衛的寶座上治理猶大。
