1'But now listen, O Jacob, My servant, And Israel, whom I have chosen:
1我的僕人雅各，我所揀選的以色列啊，現在你當聽。
2Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you, 'Do not fear, O Jacob My servant; And you Jeshurun whom I have chosen.
2造做你，又從你出胎造就你，並要幫助你的耶和華如此說：我的僕人雅各，我所揀選的耶書崙哪，不要害怕！
3'For I will pour out water on the thirsty [land] And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring And My blessing on your descendants;
3因為我要將水澆灌口渴的人，將河澆灌乾旱之地。我要將我的靈澆灌你的後裔，將我的福澆灌你的子孫。
4And they will spring up among the grass Like poplars by streams of water.'
4他們要發生在草中，像溪水旁的柳樹。
5'This one will say, 'I am the LORD'S'; And that one will call on the name of Jacob; And another will write [on] his hand, 'Belonging to the LORD,' And will name Israel's name with honor.
5這個要說：我是屬耶和華的；那個要以雅各的名自稱；又一個要親手寫：歸耶和華的（或譯：在手上寫歸耶和華），並自稱為以色列。
6'Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.
6耶和華─以色列的君，以色列的救贖主─萬軍之耶和華如此說：我是首先的，我是末後的；除我以外再沒有真神。
7'Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it; Yes, let him recount it to Me in order, From the time that I established the ancient nation. And let them declare to them the things that are coming And the events that are going to take place.
7自從我設立古時的民，誰能像我宣告，並且指明，又為自己陳說呢？讓他將未來來的事和必成的事說明。
8'Do not tremble and do not be afraid; Have I not long since announced [it] to you and declared [it]? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, Or is there any [other] Rock? I know of none.''
8你們不要恐懼，也不要害怕。我豈不是從上古就說明指示你們麼？並且你們是我的見證！除我以外，豈有真神麼？誠然沒有磐石，我不知道一個！
9Those who fashion a graven image are all of them futile, and their precious things are of no profit; even their own witnesses fail to see or know, so that they will be put to shame.
9製造雕刻偶像的盡都虛空；他們所喜悅的都無益處；他們的見證無所看見，無所知曉，他們便覺羞愧。
10Who has fashioned a god or cast an idol to no profit?
10誰製造神像，鑄造無益的偶像？
11Behold, all his companions will be put to shame, for the craftsmen themselves are mere men. Let them all assemble themselves, let them stand up, let them tremble, let them together be put to shame.
11看哪，他的同伴都必羞愧。工匠也不過是人，任他們聚會，任他們站立，都必懼怕，一同羞愧。
12The man shapes iron into a cutting tool and does his work over the coals, fashioning it with hammers and working it with his strong arm. He also gets hungry and his strength fails; he drinks no water and becomes weary.
12鐵匠把鐵在火炭中燒熱，用鎚打鐵器，用他有力的膀臂錘成；他飢餓而無力，不喝水而發倦。
13[Another] shapes wood, he extends a measuring line; he outlines it with red chalk. He works it with planes and outlines it with a compass, and makes it like the form of a man, like the beauty of man, so that it may sit in a house.
13木匠拉線，用筆劃出樣子，用鉋子鉋成形狀，用圓尺劃了模樣，仿照人的體態，做成人形，好住在房屋中。
14Surely he cuts cedars for himself, and takes a cypress or an oak and raises [it] for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir, and the rain makes it grow.
14他砍伐香柏樹，又取柞（或譯：青桐）樹和橡樹，在樹林中選定了一棵。他栽種松樹，得雨長養。
15Then it becomes [something] for a man to burn, so he takes one of them and warms himself; he also makes a fire to bake bread. He also makes a god and worships it; he makes it a graven image and falls down before it.
15這樹，人可用以燒火；他自己取些烤火，又燒著烤餅，而且做神像跪拜，做雕刻的偶像向他叩拜。
16Half of it he burns in the fire; over [this] half he eats meat as he roasts a roast and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, 'Aha! I am warm, I have seen the fire.'
16他把一分燒在火中，把一分烤肉吃飽。自己烤火說：啊哈，我暖和了，我見火了。
17But the rest of it he makes into a god, his graven image. He falls down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, 'Deliver me, for you are my god.'
17他用剩下的做了一神，就是雕刻的偶像。他向這偶像俯伏叩拜，禱告他說：求你拯救我，因你是我的神。
18They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their eyes so that they cannot see and their hearts so that they cannot comprehend.
18他們不知道，也不思想；因為耶和華閉住他們的眼，不能看見，塞住他們的心，不能明白。
19No one recalls, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say, 'I have burned half of it in the fire and also have baked bread over its coals. I roast meat and eat [it]. Then I make the rest of it into an abomination, I fall down before a block of wood!'
19誰心裡也不醒悟，也沒有知識，沒有聰明，能說：我曾拿一分在火中燒了，在炭火上烤過餅；我也烤過肉吃。這剩下的，我豈要作可憎的物嗎？我豈可向木丕子叩拜呢？
20He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside. And he cannot deliver himself, nor say, 'Is there not a lie in my right hand?'
20他以灰為食，心中昏迷，使他偏邪，他不能自救，也不能說：我右手中豈不是有虛謊麼？
21'Remember these things, O Jacob, And Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant, O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me.
21雅各，以色列啊，你是我的僕人，要記念這些事。以色列啊，你是我的僕人，我造就你必不忘記你。
22'I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.'
22我塗抹了你的過犯，像厚雲消散；我塗抹了你的罪惡，如薄雲滅沒。你當歸向我，因我救贖了你。
23Shout for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done [it]! Shout joyfully, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into a shout of joy, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it; For the LORD has redeemed Jacob And in Israel He shows forth His glory.
23諸天哪，應當歌唱，因為耶和華做成這事。地的深處啊，應當歡呼；眾山應當發聲歌唱；樹林和其中所有的樹都當如此！因為耶和華救贖了雅各，並要因以色列榮耀自己。
24Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, 'I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth all alone,
24從你出胎，造就你的救贖主─耶和華如此說：我─耶和華是創造萬物的，是獨自鋪張諸天、鋪開大地的。誰與我同在呢？
25Causing the omens of boasters to fail, Making fools out of diviners, Causing wise men to draw back And turning their knowledge into foolishness,
25使說假話的兆頭失效，使占卜的癲狂，使智慧人退後，使他的知識變為愚拙；
26Confirming the word of His servant And performing the purpose of His messengers. [It is I] who says of Jerusalem, 'She shall be inhabited!' And of the cities of Judah, 'They shall be built.' And I will raise up her ruins [again].
26使我僕人的話語立定，我使者的謀算成就。論到耶路撒冷說：必有人居住；論到猶大的城邑說：必被建造，其中的荒場我也必興起。
27'[It is I] who says to the depth of the sea, 'Be dried up!' And I will make your rivers dry.
27對深淵說：你乾了罷！我也要使你的江河乾涸。
28'[It is I] who says of Cyrus, '[He is] My shepherd! And he will perform all My desire.' And he declares of Jerusalem, 'She will be built,' And of the temple, 'Your foundation will be laid.''
28論古列說：他是我的牧人，必成就我所喜悅的，必下令建造耶路撒冷，發命立穩聖殿的根基。
