1The oracle concerning the valley of vision. What is the matter with you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops?
1論異象谷的默示：有甚麼事使你這滿城的人都上房頂呢？
2You who were full of noise, You boisterous town, you exultant city; Your slain were not slain with the sword, Nor did they die in battle.
2你這滿處吶喊、大有喧嘩的城，歡樂的邑啊，你中間被殺的並不是被刀殺，也不是因打仗死亡。
3All your rulers have fled together, [And] have been captured without the bow; All of you who were found were taken captive together, Though they had fled far away.
3你所有的官長一同逃跑，都為弓箭手所捆綁。你中間一切被找到的都一同被捆綁；他們本是逃往遠方的。
4Therefore I say, 'Turn your eyes away from me, Let me weep bitterly, Do not try to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.'
4所以我說：你們轉眼不看我，我要痛哭。不要因我眾民（原文是民女）的毀滅，就竭力安慰我。
5For the Lord GOD of hosts has a day of panic, subjugation and confusion In the valley of vision, A breaking down of walls And a crying to the mountain.
5因為主─萬軍之耶和華使異象谷有潰亂、踐踏、煩擾的日子。城被攻破，哀聲達到山間。
6Elam took up the quiver With the chariots, infantry [and] horsemen; And Kir uncovered the shield.
6以攔帶著箭袋，還有坐戰車的和馬兵；吉珥揭開盾牌。
7Then your choicest valleys were full of chariots, And the horsemen took up fixed positions at the gate.
7你嘉美的谷遍滿戰車，也有馬兵在城門前排列。
8And He removed the defense of Judah. In that day you depended on the weapons of the house of the forest,
8他去掉猶大的遮蓋。那日，你就仰望林庫內的軍器。
9And you saw that the breaches In the [wall] of the city of David were many; And you collected the waters of the lower pool.
9你們看見大衛城的破口很多，便聚積下池的水，
10Then you counted the houses of Jerusalem And tore down houses to fortify the wall.
10又數點耶路撒冷的房屋，將房屋拆毀，修補城牆，
11And you made a reservoir between the two walls For the waters of the old pool. But you did not depend on Him who made it, Nor did you take into consideration Him who planned it long ago.
11又在兩道城牆中間挖一個聚水池可盛舊池的水，卻不仰望做這事的主，也不顧念從古定這事的。
12Therefore in that day the Lord GOD of hosts called [you] to weeping, to wailing, To shaving the head and to wearing sackcloth.
12當那日，主─萬軍之耶和華叫人哭泣哀號，頭上光禿，身披麻布。
13Instead, there is gaiety and gladness, Killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep, Eating of meat and drinking of wine: 'Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die.'
13誰知，人倒歡喜快樂，宰牛殺羊，吃肉喝酒，說：我們吃喝吧！因為明天要死了。
14But the LORD of hosts revealed Himself to me, 'Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven you Until you die,' says the Lord GOD of hosts.
14萬軍之耶和華親自默示我說：這罪孽直到你們死，斷不得赦免！這是主─萬軍之耶和華說的。
15Thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, 'Come, go to this steward, To Shebna, who is in charge of the [royal] household,
15主─萬軍之耶和華這樣說：你去見掌銀庫的，就是家宰舍伯那，對他說：
16'What right do you have here, And whom do you have here, That you have hewn a tomb for yourself here, You who hew a tomb on the height, You who carve a resting place for yourself in the rock?
16你在這裡做甚麼呢？有甚麼人竟在這裡鑿墳墓，就是在高處為自己鑿墳墓，在磐石中為自己鑿出安身之所？
17'Behold, the LORD is about to hurl you headlong, O man. And He is about to grasp you firmly
17看哪，耶和華必像大有力的人，將你緊緊纏裹，竭力拋去。
18[And] roll you tightly like a ball, [To be] [cast] into a vast country; There you will die And there your splendid chariots will be, You shame of your master's house.'
18他必將你滾成一團，拋在寬闊之地，好像拋球一樣。你這主人家的羞辱，必在那裡坐你榮耀的車，也必在那裡死亡。
19'I will depose you from your office, And I will pull you down from your station.
19我必趕逐你離開官職；你必從你的原位撤下。
20'Then it will come about in that day, That I will summon My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah,
20到那日，我必召我僕人希勒家的兒子以利亞敬來，
21And I will clothe him with your tunic And tie your sash securely about him. I will entrust him with your authority, And he will become a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.
21將你的外袍給他穿上，將你的腰帶給他繫緊，將你的政權交在他手中。他必作耶路撒冷居民和猶大家的父。
22'Then I will set the key of the house of David on his shoulder, When he opens no one will shut, When he shuts no one will open.
22我必將大衛家的鑰匙放在他肩頭上。他開，無人能關；他關，無人能開。
23'I will drive him [like] a peg in a firm place, And he will become a throne of glory to his father's house.
23我必將他安穩，像釘子釘在堅固處；他必作為他父家榮耀的寶座。
24'So they will hang on him all the glory of his father's house, offspring and issue, all the least of vessels, from bowls to all the jars.
24他父家所有的榮耀，連兒女帶子孫，都掛在他身上，好像一切小器皿，從杯子到酒瓶掛上一樣。
25'In that day,' declares the LORD of hosts, 'the peg driven in a firm place will give way; it will even break off and fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut off, for the LORD has spoken.'
25萬軍之耶和華說：當那日，釘在堅固處的釘子必壓斜，被砍斷落地；掛在其上的重擔必被剪斷。因為這是耶和華說的。
