Ephesians 2

¹And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,

¹你們死在過犯罪惡之中，他叫你們活過來。

²in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

²那時，你們在其中行事為人，隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的首領，就是現今在悖逆之子心中運行的邪靈。

³Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

³我們從前也都在他們中間，放縱肉體的私慾，隨著肉體和心中所喜好的去行，本為可怒之子，和別人一樣。

⁴But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

⁴然而，神既有豐富的憐憫，因他愛我們的大愛，

⁵even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

⁵當我們死在過犯中的時候，便叫我們與基督一同活過來。你們得救是本乎恩。

⁶and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus,

⁶他又叫我們與基督耶穌一同復活，一同坐在天上，

⁷so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

⁷要將他極豐富的恩典，就是他在基督耶穌裡向我們所施的恩慈，顯明給後來的世代看。

⁸For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, [it is] the gift of God;

⁸你們得救是本乎恩，也因著信；這並不是出於自己，乃是神所賜的；

⁹not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

⁹也不是出於行為，免得有人自誇。

¹⁰For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

¹⁰我們原是他的工作，在基督耶穌裡造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是神所預備叫我們行的。

¹¹Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called 'Uncircumcision ' by the so-called 'Circumcision,' [which is] performed in the flesh by human hands--

¹¹所以你們應當記念：你們從前按肉體是外邦人，是稱為沒受割禮的；這名原是那些憑人手在肉身上稱為受割禮之人所起的。

¹²[remember] that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

¹²那時，你們與基督無關，在以色列國民以外，在所應許的諸約上是局外人，並且活在世上沒有指望，沒有神。

¹³But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

¹³你們從前遠離神的人，如今卻在基督耶穌裡，靠著他的血，已經得親近了。

¹⁴For He Himself is our peace, who made both [groups into] one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,

¹⁴因他使我們和睦（原文作：因他是我們的和睦），將兩下合而為一，拆毀了中間隔斷的牆；

¹⁵by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, [which is] the Law of commandments [contained] in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, [thus] establishing peace,

¹⁵而且以自己的身體廢掉冤仇，就是那記在律法上的規條，為要將兩下藉著自己造成一個新人，如此便成就了和睦。

¹⁶and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.

¹⁶既在十字架上滅了冤仇，便藉這十字架使兩下歸為一體，與神和好了，

¹⁷AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR;

¹⁷並且來傳和平的福音給你們遠處的人，也給那近處的人。

¹⁸for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

¹⁸因為我們兩下藉著他被一個聖靈所感，得以進到父面前。

¹⁹So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household,

¹⁹這樣，你們不再作外人和客旅，是與聖徒同國，是神家裡的人了；

²⁰having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner [stone],

²⁰並且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，有基督耶穌自己為房角石，

²¹in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord,

²¹各（或作：全）房靠他聯絡得合式，漸漸成為主的聖殿。

²²in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

²²你們也靠他同被建造，成為神藉著聖靈居住的所在。
