1Now it came about when Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all that Solomon desired to do,
1所羅門建造耶和華殿和王宮，並一切所願意建造的都完畢了，
2that the LORD appeared to Solomon a second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.
2耶和華就二次向所羅門顯現，如先前在基遍向他顯現一樣，
3The LORD said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and your supplication, which you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built by putting My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
3對他說：你向我所禱告祈求的，我都應允了。我已將你所建的這殿分別為聖，使我的名永遠在其中；我的眼、我的心也必常在那裡。
4'As for you, if you will walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you [and] will keep My statutes and My ordinances,
4你若效法你父大衛，存誠實正直的心行在我面前，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，謹守我的律例典章，
5then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, just as I promised to your father David, saying, 'You shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.'
5我就必堅固你的國位在以色列中，直到永遠，正如我應許你父大衛說：你的子孫必不斷人坐以色列的國位。
6'But if you or your sons indeed turn away from following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,
6倘若你們和你們的子孫轉去不跟從我，不守我指示你們的誡命律例，去事奉敬拜別神，
7then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them, and the house which I have consecrated for My name, I will cast out of My sight. So Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
7我就必將以色列人從我賜給他們的地上剪除，並且我為己名所分別為聖的殿也必捨棄不顧，使以色列人在萬民中作笑談，被譏誚。
8'And this house will become a heap of ruins; everyone who passes by will be astonished and hiss and say, 'Why has the LORD done thus to this land and to this house?'
8這殿雖然甚高，將來經過的人必驚訝、嗤笑，說：耶和華為何向這地和這殿如此行呢？
9'And they will say, 'Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and adopted other gods and worshiped them and served them, therefore the LORD has brought all this adversity on them.''
9人必回答說：是因此地的人離棄領他們列祖出埃及地之耶和華─他們的神，去親近別 神，事奉敬拜他，所以耶和華使這一切災禍臨到他們。
10It came about at the end of twenty years in which Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD and the king's house
10所羅門建造耶和華殿和王宮，這兩所二十年才完畢了。
11(Hiram king of Tyre had supplied Solomon with cedar and cypress timber and gold according to all his desire), then King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
11推羅王希蘭曾照所羅門所要的，資助他香柏木、松木，和金子；所羅門王就把加利利地的二十座城給了希蘭。
12So Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him, and they did not please him.
12希蘭從推羅出來，察看所羅門給他的城邑，就不喜悅，
13He said, 'What are these cities which you have given me, my brother?' So they were called the land of Cabul to this day.
13說：我兄啊，你給我的是甚麼城邑呢？他就給這城邑之地起名叫迦步勒，直到今日。
14And Hiram sent to the king 120 talents of gold.
14希蘭給所羅門一百二十他連得金子。
15Now this is the account of the forced labor which King Solomon levied to build the house of the LORD, his own house, the Millo, the wall of Jerusalem, Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.
15所羅門王挑取服苦的人，是為建造耶和華的殿、自己的宮、米羅、耶路撒冷的城牆、夏瑣、米吉多，並基色。
16[For] Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and captured Gezer and burned it with fire, and killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and had given it [as] a dowry to his daughter, Solomon's wife.
16先前埃及王法老上來攻取基色，用火焚燒，殺了城內居住的迦南人，將城賜給他女兒所羅門的妻作妝奩。
17So Solomon rebuilt Gezer and the lower Beth-horon
17所羅門建造基色、下伯和崙、
18and Baalath and Tamar in the wilderness, in the land [of Judah],
18巴拉，並國中曠野裡的達莫，
19and all the storage cities which Solomon had, even the cities for his chariots and the cities for his horsemen, and all that it pleased Solomon to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land under his rule.
19又建造所有的積貨城，並屯車和馬兵的城，與耶路撒冷、利巴嫩，以及自己治理的全國中所願建造的。
20[As for] all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, who were not of the sons of Israel,
20至於國中所剩下不屬以色列人的亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，
21their descendants who were left after them in the land whom the sons of Israel were unable to destroy utterly, from them Solomon levied forced laborers, even to this day.
21就是以色列人不能滅盡的，所羅門挑取他們的後裔作服苦的奴僕，直到今日。
22But Solomon did not make slaves of the sons of Israel; for they were men of war, his servants, his princes, his captains, his chariot commanders, and his horsemen.
22惟有以色列人，所羅門不使他們作奴僕，乃是作他的戰士、臣僕、統領、軍長、車兵長、馬兵長。
23These [were] the chief officers who [were] over Solomon's work, five hundred and fifty, who ruled over the people doing the work.
23所羅門有五百五十督工的，監管工人。
24As soon as Pharaoh's daughter came up from the city of David to her house which [Solomon] had built for her, then he built the Millo.
24法老的女兒從大衛城搬到所羅門為他建造的宮裡。那時，所羅門才建造米羅。
25Now three times in a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to the LORD, burning incense with them [on the altar] which [was] before the LORD. So he finished the house.
25所羅門每年三次在他為耶和華所築的壇上獻燔祭和平安祭，又在耶和華面前的壇上燒香。這樣，他建造殿的工程完畢了。
26King Solomon also built a fleet of ships in Ezion-geber, which is near Eloth on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.
26所羅門王在以東地紅海邊，靠近以祿的以旬迦別製造船隻。
27And Hiram sent his servants with the fleet, sailors who knew the sea, along with the servants of Solomon.
27希蘭差遣他的僕人，就是熟悉泛海的船家，與所羅門的僕人一同坐船航海。
28They went to Ophir and took four hundred and twenty talents of gold from there, and brought [it] to King Solomon.
28他們到了俄斐，從那裡得了四百二十他連得金子，運到所羅門王那裡。
