1Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; so that he is not enrolled in the genealogy according to the birthright.
1以色列的長子原是流便；因他污穢了父親的床，他長子的名分就歸了約瑟。只是按家譜他不算長子。
2Though Judah prevailed over his brothers, and from him [came] the leader, yet the birthright belonged to Joseph),
2猶大勝過一切弟兄，君王也是從他而出；長子的名分卻歸約瑟。
3the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel [were] Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
3以色列長子流便的兒子是哈諾、法路、希斯倫、迦米。
4The sons of Joel [were] Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
4約珥的兒子是示瑪雅；示瑪雅的兒子是歌革；歌革的兒子是示每；
5Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son,
5示每的兒子是米迦；米迦的兒子是利亞雅；利亞雅的兒子是巴力；
6Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away into exile; he was leader of the Reubenites.
6巴力的兒子是備拉。這備拉作流便支派的首領，被亞述王提革拉毗尼色擄去。
7His kinsmen by their families, in the genealogy of their generations, [were] Jeiel the chief, then Zechariah
7他的弟兄照著宗族，按著家譜作族長的是耶利、撒迦利雅、比拉。
8and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who lived in Aroer, even to Nebo and Baal-meon.
8比拉是亞撒的兒子；亞撒是示瑪的兒子；示瑪是約珥的兒子；約珥所住的地方是從亞羅珥直到尼波和巴力免，
9To the east he settled as far as the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates, because their cattle had increased in the land of Gilead.
9又向東延到伯拉河這邊的曠野，因為他們在基列地牲畜增多。
10In the days of Saul they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand, so that they occupied their tents throughout all the land east of Gilead.
10掃羅年間，他們與夏甲人爭戰，夏甲人倒在他們手下，他們就在基列東邊的全地，住在夏甲人的帳棚裡。
11Now the sons of Gad lived opposite them in the land of Bashan as far as Salecah.
11迦得的子孫在流便對面，住在巴珊地，延到撒迦。
12Joel [was] the chief and Shapham the second, then Janai and Shaphat in Bashan.
12他們中間有作族長的約珥，有作副族長的沙番，還有雅乃和住在巴珊的沙法。
13Their kinsmen of their fathers' households [were] Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia and Eber, seven.
13他們族弟兄是米迦勒、米書蘭、示巴、約賴、雅干、細亞、希伯，共七人。
14These [were] the sons of Abihail, the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
14這都是亞比孩的兒子。亞比孩是戶利的兒子；戶利是耶羅亞的兒子；耶羅亞是基列的兒子；基列是米迦勒的兒子；米迦勒是耶示篩的兒子；耶示篩是耶哈多的兒子；耶哈多是布斯的兒子。
15Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, [was] head of their fathers' households.
15還有古尼的孫子、押比疊的兒子亞希。這都是作族長的。
16They lived in Gilead, in Bashan and in its towns, and in all the pasture lands of Sharon, as far as their borders.
16他們住在基列與巴珊和巴珊的鄉村，並沙崙的郊野，直到四圍的交界。
17All of these were enrolled in the genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
17這些人在猶大王約坦並在以色列王耶羅波安年間，都載入家譜。
18The sons of Reuben and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, [consisting] of valiant men, men who bore shield and sword and shot with bow and [were] skillful in battle, [were] 44,760, who went to war.
18流便人、迦得人，和瑪拿西半支派的人，能拿盾牌和刀劍、拉弓射箭、出征善戰的勇士共有四萬四千七百六十名。
19They made war against the Hagrites, Jetur, Naphish and Nodab.
19他們與夏甲人、伊突人、拿非施人、挪答人爭戰。
20They were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all who [were] with them were given into their hand; for they cried out to God in the battle, and He answered their prayers because they trusted in Him.
20他們得了神的幫助，夏甲人和跟隨夏甲的人都交在他們手中；因為他們在陣上呼求神，倚賴神，神就應允他們。
21They took away their cattle: their 50,000 camels, 250,000 sheep, 2,000 donkeys; and 100,000 men.
21他們擄掠了夏甲人的牲畜，有駱駝五萬，羊二十五萬，驢二千；又有人十萬。
22For many fell slain, because the war [was] of God. And they settled in their place until the exile.
22敵人被殺仆倒的甚多，因為這爭戰是出乎神。他們就住在敵人的地上，直到被擄的時候。
23Now the sons of the half-tribe of Manasseh lived in the land; from Bashan to Baal-hermon and Senir and Mount Hermon they were numerous.
23瑪拿西半支派的人住在那地。從巴珊延到巴力黑們、示尼珥與黑門山。
24These were the heads of their fathers' households, even Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah and Jahdiel, mighty men of valor, famous men, heads of their fathers' households.
24他們的族長是以弗、以示、以列、亞斯列、耶利米、何達威雅、雅疊，都是大能的勇士，是有名的人，也是作族長的。
25But they acted treacherously against the God of their fathers and played the harlot after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them.
25他們得罪了他們列祖的神，隨從那地之民的 神行邪淫；這民就是 神在他們面前所除滅的。
26So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul, king of Assyria, even the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away into exile, namely the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara and to the river of Gozan, to this day.
26故此，以色列的神激動亞述王普勒和亞述王提革拉毗尼色的心，他們就把流便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人擄到哈臘、哈博、哈拉與歌散河邊，直到今日還在那裡。
