1Six days later Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.
1過了六天，耶穌帶著彼得、雅各，和雅各的兄弟約翰，暗暗的上了高山，
2And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light.
2就在他們面前變了形像，臉面明亮如日頭，衣裳潔白如光。
3And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
3忽然，有摩西、以利亞向他們顯現，同耶穌說話。
4Peter said to Jesus, 'Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, I will make three tabernacles here, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.'
4彼得對耶穌說：主阿，我們在這裡真好！你若願意，我就在這裡搭三座棚，一座為你，一座為摩西，一座為以利亞。
5While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, 'This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!'
5說話之間，忽然有一朵光明的雲彩遮蓋他們，且有聲音從雲彩裡出來，說：這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。你們要聽他！
6When the disciples heard [this], they fell face down to the ground and were terrified.
6門徒聽見﹐就俯伏在地，極其害怕。
7And Jesus came to [them] and touched them and said, 'Get up, and do not be afraid.'
7耶穌進前來，摸他們，說：起來，不要害怕！
8And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone.
8他們舉目不見一人，只見耶穌在那裡。
9As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, 'Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.'
9下山的時候，耶穌吩咐他們說：人子還沒有從死裡復活，你們不要將所看見的告訴人。
10And His disciples asked Him, 'Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?'
10門徒問耶穌說：文士為甚麼說以利亞必須先來？
11And He answered and said, 'Elijah is coming and will restore all things;
11耶穌回答說：以利亞固然先來，並要復興萬事；
12but I say to you that Elijah already came, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wished. So also the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.'
12只是我告訴你們，以利亞已經來了，人卻不認識他，竟任意待他。人子也將要這樣受他們的害。
13Then the disciples understood that He had spoken to them about John the Baptist.
13門徒這才明白耶穌所說的是指著施洗的約翰。
14When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,
14耶穌和門徒到了眾人那裡，有一個人來見耶穌，跪下，說：
15'Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is a lunatic and is very ill; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.
15主阿，憐憫我的兒子。他害癲癇的病很苦，屢次跌在火裡，屢次跌在水裡。
16'I brought him to Your disciples, and they could not cure him.'
16我帶他到你門徒那裡，他們卻不能醫治他。
17And Jesus answered and said, 'You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.'
17耶穌說：噯！這又不信又悖謬的世代阿，我在你們這裡要到幾時呢？我忍耐你們要到幾時呢？把他帶到我這裡來罷！
18And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once.
18耶穌斥責那鬼，鬼就出來；從此孩子就痊愈了。
19Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, 'Why could we not drive it out?'
19門徒暗暗的到耶穌跟前，說：我們為甚麼不能趕出那鬼呢？
20And He said to them, 'Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
20耶穌說：是因你們的信心小。我實在告訴你們，你們若有信心，像一粒芥菜種，就是對這座山說：你從這邊挪到那邊。他也必挪去；並且你們沒有一件不能做的事了。
21['But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.]'
21至於這一類的鬼，若不禱告、禁食，他就不出來（或作：不能趕他出來）。
22And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, 'The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men;
22他們還住在加利利的時候，耶穌對門徒說：人子將要被交在人手裡。
23and they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day.' And they were deeply grieved.
23他們要殺害他，第三日他要復活。門徒就大大的憂愁。
24When they came to Capernaum, those who collected the two-drachma [tax] came to Peter and said, 'Does your teacher not pay the two-drachma [tax]?'
24到了迦百農，有收丁稅的人來見彼得，說：你們的先生不納丁稅（丁稅約有半塊錢）麼？
25He said, 'Yes.' And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, 'What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth collect customs or poll-tax, from their sons or from strangers?'
25彼得說：納。他進了屋子，耶穌先向他說：西門﹐你的意思如何？世上的君王向誰徵收關稅、丁稅？是向自己的兒子呢？是向外人呢？
26When Peter said, 'From strangers,' Jesus said to him, 'Then the sons are exempt.
26彼得說：是向外人。耶穌說：既然如此，兒子就可以免稅了。
27'However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for you and Me.'
27但恐怕觸犯（觸犯：原文是絆倒）他們，你且往海邊去釣魚，把先釣上來的魚拿起來，開了他的口，必得一塊錢，可以拿去給他們，作你我的稅銀。
