1Remember, O LORD, what has befallen us; Look, and see our reproach!
1耶和華啊，求你記念我們所遭遇的事，觀看我們所受的凌辱。
2Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, Our houses to aliens.
2我們的產業歸與外邦人；我們的房屋歸與外路人。
3We have become orphans without a father, Our mothers are like widows.
3我們是無父的孤兒；我們的母親好像寡婦。
4We have to pay for our drinking water, Our wood comes [to us] at a price.
4我們出錢才得水喝；我們的柴是人賣給我們的。
5Our pursuers are at our necks; We are worn out, there is no rest for us.
5追趕我們的，到了我們的頸項上；我們疲乏不得歇息。
6We have submitted to Egypt [and] Assyria to get enough bread.
6我們投降埃及人和亞述人，為要得糧吃飽。
7Our fathers sinned, [and] are no more; It is we who have borne their iniquities.
7我們列祖犯罪，而今不在了；我們擔當他們的罪孽。
8Slaves rule over us; There is no one to deliver us from their hand.
8奴僕轄制我們，無人救我們脫離他們的手。
9We get our bread at the risk of our lives Because of the sword in the wilderness.
9因為曠野的刀劍，我們冒著險才得糧食。
10Our skin has become as hot as an oven, Because of the burning heat of famine.
10因飢餓燥熱，我們的皮膚就黑如爐。
11They ravished the women in Zion, The virgins in the cities of Judah.
11敵人在錫安玷污婦人，在猶大的城邑玷污處女。
12Princes were hung by their hands; Elders were not respected.
12他們吊起首領的手，也不尊敬老人的面。
13Young men worked at the grinding mill, And youths stumbled under [loads] of wood.
13少年人扛磨石，孩童背木柴，都絆跌了。
14Elders are gone from the gate, Young men from their music.
14老年人在城門口斷絕；少年人不再作樂。
15The joy of our hearts has ceased; Our dancing has been turned into mourning.
15我們心中的快樂止息，跳舞變為悲哀。
16The crown has fallen from our head; Woe to us, for we have sinned!
16冠冕從我們的頭上落下；我們犯罪了，我們有禍了！
17Because of this our heart is faint, Because of these things our eyes are dim;
17這些事我們心裡發昏，我們的眼睛昏花。
18Because of Mount Zion which lies desolate, Foxes prowl in it.
18錫安山荒涼，野狗（或譯：狐狸）行在其上。
19You, O LORD, rule forever; Your throne is from generation to generation.
19耶和華啊，你存到永遠；你的寶座存到萬代。
20Why do You forget us forever? Why do You forsake us so long?
20你為何永遠忘記我們？為何許久離棄我們？
21Restore us to You, O LORD, that we may be restored; Renew our days as of old,
21耶和華啊，求你使我們向你回轉，我們便得回轉。求你復新我們的日子，像古時一樣。
22Unless You have utterly rejected us [And] are exceedingly angry with us.
22你竟全然棄絕我們，向我們大發烈怒？
