1Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit.
1從耶西的本（原文是墩）必發一條；從他根生的枝子必結果實。
2The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
2耶和華的靈必住在他身上，就是使他有智慧和聰明的靈，謀略和能力的靈，知識和敬畏耶和華的靈。
3And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;
3他必以敬畏耶和華為樂；行審判不憑眼見，斷是非也不憑耳聞；
4But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.
4卻要以公義審判貧窮人，以正直判斷世上的謙卑人，以口中的杖擊打世界，以嘴裡的氣殺戮惡人。
5Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins, And faithfulness the belt about His waist.
5公義必當他的腰帶；信實必當他脅下的帶子。
6And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them.
6豺狼必與綿羊羔同居，豹子與山羊羔同臥；少壯獅子與牛犢並肥畜同群；小孩子要牽引他們。
7Also the cow and the bear will graze, Their young will lie down together, And the lion will eat straw like the ox.
7牛必與熊同食；牛犢必與小熊同臥；獅子必吃草，與牛一樣。
8The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den.
8吃奶的孩子必玩耍在虺蛇的洞口；斷奶的嬰兒必按手在毒蛇的穴上。
9They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.
9在我聖山的遍處，這一切都不傷人，不害物；因為認識耶和華的知識要充滿遍地，好像水充滿洋海一般。
10Then in that day The nations will resort to the root of Jesse, Who will stand as a signal for the peoples; And His resting place will be glorious.
10到那日，耶西的根立作萬民的大旗；外邦人必尋求他，他安息之所大有榮耀。
11Then it will happen on that day that the Lord Will again recover the second time with His hand The remnant of His people, who will remain, From Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, And from the islands of the sea.
11當那日，主必二次伸手救回自己百姓中所餘剩的，就是在亞述、埃及、巴忒羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈馬，並眾海島所剩下的。
12And He will lift up a standard for the nations And assemble the banished ones of Israel, And will gather the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.
12他必向列國豎立大旗，招回以色列被趕散的人，又從地的四方聚集分散的猶大人。
13Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart, And those who harass Judah will be cut off; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, And Judah will not harass Ephraim.
13以法蓮的嫉妒就必消散；擾害猶大的必被剪除。以法蓮必不嫉妒猶大，猶大也不擾害以法蓮。
14They will swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines on the west; Together they will plunder the sons of the east; They will possess Edom and Moab, And the sons of Ammon will be subject to them.
14他們要向西飛，撲在非利士人的肩頭上（肩頭上：或譯西界），一同擄掠東方人，伸手按住以東和摩押；亞捫人也必順服他們。
15And the LORD will utterly destroy The tongue of the Sea of Egypt; And He will wave His hand over the River With His scorching wind; And He will strike it into seven streams And make [men] walk over dry-shod.
15耶和華必使埃及海汊枯乾，掄手用暴熱的風使大河分為七條，令人過去不致濕腳。
16And there will be a highway from Assyria For the remnant of His people who will be left, Just as there was for Israel In the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.
16為主餘剩的百姓，就是從亞述剩下回來的，必有一條大道，如當日以色列從埃及地上來一樣。
