1Listen to the word of the LORD, O sons of Israel, For the LORD has a case against the inhabitants of the land, Because there is no faithfulness or kindness Or knowledge of God in the land.
1以色列人哪，你們當聽耶和華的話。耶和華與這地的居民爭辯，因這地上無誠實，無良善，無人認識神。
2[There is] swearing, deception, murder, stealing and adultery. They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed.
2但起假誓，不踐前言，殺害，偷盜，姦淫，行強暴，殺人流血，接連不斷。
3Therefore the land mourns, And everyone who lives in it languishes Along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky, And also the fish of the sea disappear.
3因此，這地悲哀，其上的民、田野的獸、空中的鳥必都衰微，海中的魚也必消滅。
4Yet let no one find fault, and let none offer reproof; For your people are like those who contend with the priest.
4然而，人都不必爭辯，也不必指責，因為這民與抗拒祭司的人一樣。
5So you will stumble by day, And the prophet also will stumble with you by night; And I will destroy your mother.
5你這祭司必日間跌倒；先知也必夜間與你一同跌倒；我必滅絕你的母親。
6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
6我的民因無知識而滅亡。你棄掉知識，我也必棄掉你，使你不再給我作祭司。你既忘了你神的律法，我也必忘記你的兒女。
7The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.
7祭司越發增多，就越發得罪我；我必使他們的榮耀變為羞辱。
8They feed on the sin of My people And direct their desire toward their iniquity.
8他們吃我民的贖罪祭，滿心願意我民犯罪。
9And it will be, like people, like priest; So I will punish them for their ways And repay them for their deeds.
9將來民如何，祭司也必如何；我必因他們所行的懲罰他們，照他們所做的報應他們。
10They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the harlot, but not increase, Because they have stopped giving heed to the LORD.
10他們吃，卻不得飽；行淫，而不得立後；因為他們離棄耶和華，不遵他的命。
11Harlotry, wine and new wine take away the understanding.
11姦淫和酒，並新酒，奪去人的心。
12My people consult their wooden idol, and their [diviner's] wand informs them; For a spirit of harlotry has led [them] astray, And they have played the harlot, [departing] from their God.
12我的民求問木偶，以為木杖能指示他們；因為他們的淫心使他們失迷，他們就行淫離棄神，不守約束，
13They offer sacrifices on the tops of the mountains And burn incense on the hills, Under oak, poplar and terebinth, Because their shade is pleasant. Therefore your daughters play the harlot And your brides commit adultery.
13在各山頂，各高岡的橡樹、楊樹、栗樹之下，獻祭燒香，因為樹影美好。所以，你們的女兒淫亂，你們的新婦（或譯：兒婦；下同）行淫。
14I will not punish your daughters when they play the harlot Or your brides when they commit adultery, For [the men] themselves go apart with harlots And offer sacrifices with temple prostitutes; So the people without understanding are ruined.
14你們的女兒淫亂，你們的新婦行淫，我卻不懲罰他們；因為你們自己離群與娼妓同居，與妓女一同獻祭。這無知的民必致傾倒。
15Though you, Israel, play the harlot, Do not let Judah become guilty; Also do not go to Gilgal, Or go up to Beth-aven And take the oath: 'As the LORD lives!'
15以色列啊，你雖然行淫，猶大卻不可犯罪。不要往吉甲去，不要上到伯亞文，也不要指著永生的耶和華起誓。
16Since Israel is stubborn Like a stubborn heifer, Can the LORD now pasture them Like a lamb in a large field?
16以色列倔強，猶如倔強的母牛；現在耶和華要放他們，如同放羊羔在寬闊之地。
17Ephraim is joined to idols; Let him alone.
17以法蓮親近偶像，任憑他罷！
18Their liquor gone, They play the harlot continually; Their rulers dearly love shame.
18他們所喝的已經發酸，他們時常行淫，他們的官長最愛羞恥的事。
19The wind wraps them in its wings, And they will be ashamed because of their sacrifices.
19風把他們裹在翅膀裡；他們因所獻的祭必致蒙羞。
