1The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach,
1提阿非羅阿，我已經作了前書，論到耶穌開頭一切所行所教訓的，
2until the day when He was taken up [to heaven], after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen.
2直到他藉著聖靈吩咐所揀選的使徒，以後被接上升的日子為止。
3To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over [a period of] forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God.
3他受害之後，用許多的憑據將自己活活的顯給使徒看，四十天之久向他們顯現，講說神國的事。
4Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, 'Which,' [He said], 'you heard of from Me;
4耶穌和他們聚集的時候，囑咐他們說：不要離開耶路撒冷，要等候父所應許的，就是你們聽見我說過的。
5for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.'
5約翰是用水施洗，但不多幾日，你們要受聖靈的洗。
6So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, 'Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?'
6他們聚集的時候，問耶穌說：主阿，你復興以色列國就在這時候麼？
7He said to them, 'It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;
7耶穌對他們說：父憑著自己的權柄所定的時候、日期，不是你們可以知道的。
8but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.'
8但聖靈降臨在你們身上，你們就必得著能力，並要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地，和撒瑪利亞，直到地極，作我的見證。
9And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
9說了這話，他們正看的時候，他就被取上升，有一朵雲彩把他接去，便看不見他了。
10And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them.
10當他往上去，他們定睛望天的時候，忽然有兩個人身穿白衣，站在旁邊，說：
11They also said, 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.'
11加利利人哪，你們為甚麼站著望天呢？這離開你們被接升天的耶穌，你們見他怎樣往天上去，他還要怎樣來。
12Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.
12有一座山，名叫橄欖山，離耶路撒冷不遠，約有安息日可走的路程。當下，門徒從那裡回耶路撒冷去，
13When they had entered [the city], they went up to the upper room where they were staying; that is, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James [the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas [the] [son] of James.
13進了城，就上了所住的一間樓房；在那裡有彼得、約翰、雅各、安得烈、腓力、多馬、巴多羅買、馬太、亞勒腓的兒子雅各、奮銳黨的西門，和雅各的兒子（或作：兄弟）猶大。
14These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with [the] women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
14這些人同著幾個婦人和耶穌的母親馬利亞，並耶穌的弟兄，都同心合意的恆切禱告。
15At this time Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty persons was there together), and said,
15那時，有許多人聚會，約有一百二十名，彼得就在弟兄中間站起來，說：
16'Brethren, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit foretold by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.
16弟兄們！聖靈藉大衛的口，在聖經上預言領人捉拿耶穌的猶大，這話是必須應驗的。
17'For he was counted among us and received his share in this ministry.'
17他本來列在我們數中，並且在使徒的職任上得了一分。
18(Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness, and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out.
18這人用他作惡的工價買了一塊田，以後身子仆倒，肚腹崩裂，腸子都流出來。
19And it became known to all who were living in Jerusalem; so that in their own language that field was called Hakeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)
19住在耶路撒冷的眾人都知道這事，所以按著他們那裡的話給那塊田起名叫亞革大馬，就是血田的意思。
20'For it is written in the book of Psalms, 'LET HIS HOMESTEAD BE MADE DESOLATE, AND LET NO ONE DWELL IN IT'; and, 'LET ANOTHER MAN TAKE HIS OFFICE.'
20因為詩篇上寫著，說：願他的住處變為荒場，無人在內居住；又說：願別人得他的職分。
21'Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us--
21所以，主耶穌在我們中間始終出入的時候，
22beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us-- one of these [must] become a witness with us of His resurrection.'
22就是從約翰施洗起，直到主離開我們被接上升的日子為止，必須從那常與我們作伴的人中立一位與我們同作耶穌復活的見證。
23So they put forward two men, Joseph called Barsabbas (who was also called Justus), and Matthias.
23於是選舉兩個人，就是那叫作巴撒巴，又稱呼猶士都的約瑟，和馬提亞。
24And they prayed and said, 'You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen
24眾人就禱告說：主阿，你知道萬人的心，求你從這兩個人中，指明你所揀選的是誰，叫他得這使徒的位分。這位分猶大已經丟棄，往自己的地方去了。
25to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.'

26And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles.
26於是眾人為他們搖籤，搖出馬提亞來；他就和十一個使徒同列。
