1Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the house.
1所羅門祈禱已畢，就有火從天上降下來，燒盡燔祭和別的祭。耶和華的榮光充滿了殿；
2The priests could not enter into the house of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled the LORD'S house.
2因耶和華的榮光充滿了耶和華殿，所以祭司不能進殿。
3All the sons of Israel, seeing the fire come down and the glory of the LORD upon the house, bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave praise to the LORD, [saying], 'Truly He is good, truly His lovingkindness is everlasting.'
3那火降下、耶和華的榮光在殿上的時候，以色列眾人看見，就在鋪石地俯伏叩拜，稱謝耶和華說：耶和華本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！
4Then the king and all the people offered sacrifice before the LORD.
4王和眾民在耶和華面前獻祭。
5King Solomon offered a sacrifice of 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. Thus the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
5所羅門王用牛二萬二千，羊十二萬獻祭。這樣，王和眾民為神的殿行奉獻之禮。
6The priests stood at their posts, and the Levites also, with the instruments of music to the LORD, which King David had made for giving praise to the LORD-- 'for His lovingkindness is everlasting '-- whenever he gave praise by their means, while the priests on the other side blew trumpets; and all Israel was standing.
6祭司侍立，各供其職；利未人也拿著耶和華的樂器，就是大衛王造出來、藉利未人頌讚耶和華的。（他的慈愛永遠長存！）祭司在眾人面前吹號，以色列人都站立。
7Then Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that [was] before the house of the LORD, for there he offered the burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to contain the burnt offering, the grain offering and the fat.
7所羅門因他所造的銅壇容不下燔祭、素祭，和脂油，便將耶和華殿前院子當中分別為聖，在那裡獻燔祭和平安祭牲的脂油。
8So Solomon observed the feast at that time for seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly [who came] from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt.
8那時所羅門和以色列眾人，就是從哈馬口直到埃及小河，所有的以色列人都聚集成為大會，守節七日。
9On the eighth day they held a solemn assembly, for the dedication of the altar they observed seven days and the feast seven days.
9第八日設立嚴肅會，行奉獻壇的禮七日，守節七日。
10Then on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people to their tents, rejoicing and happy of heart because of the goodness that the LORD had shown to David and to Solomon and to His people Israel.
10七月二十三日，王遣散眾民；他們因見耶和華向大衛和所羅門與他民以色列所施的恩惠，就都心中喜樂，各歸各家去了。
11Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD and the king's palace, and successfully completed all that he had planned on doing in the house of the LORD and in his palace.
11所羅門造成了耶和華殿和王宮；在耶和華殿和王宮凡他心中所要做的，都順順利利地做成了。
12Then the LORD appeared to Solomon at night and said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.
12夜間耶和華向所羅門顯現，對他說：我已聽了你的禱告，也選擇這地方作為祭祀我的殿宇。
13'If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,
13我若使天閉塞不下雨，或使蝗蟲吃這地的出產，或使瘟疫流行在我民中，
14and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
14這稱為我名下的子民，若是自卑、禱告，尋求我的面，轉離他們的惡行，我必從天上垂聽，赦免他們的罪，醫治他們的地。
15'Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer [offered] in this place.
15我必睜眼看、側耳聽在此處所獻的禱告。
16'For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
16現在我已選擇這殿，分別為聖，使我的名永在其中，我的眼、我的心也必常在那裡。
17'As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, even to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and My ordinances,
17你若在我面前效法你父大衛所行的，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，謹守我的律例典章，
18then I will establish your royal throne as I covenanted with your father David, saying, 'You shall not lack a man [to be] ruler in Israel.'
18我就必堅固你的國位，正如我與你父大衛所立的約，說：你的子孫必不斷人作以色列的王。
19'But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,
19倘若你們轉去丟棄我指示你們的律例誡命，去事奉敬拜別神，
20then I will uproot you from My land which I have given you, and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
20我就必將以色列人從我賜給他們的地上拔出根來，並且我為己名所分別為聖的殿也必捨棄不顧，使他在萬民中作笑談，被譏誚。
21'As for this house, which was exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, 'Why has the LORD done thus to this land and to this house?'
21這殿雖然甚高，將來經過的人必驚訝說：耶和華為何向這地和這殿如此行呢？
22'And they will say, 'Because they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers who brought them from the land of Egypt, and they adopted other gods and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this adversity on them.''
22人必回答說：是因此地的人離棄耶和華─他們列祖的神，就是領他們出埃及地的 神，去親近別 神，敬拜事奉他，所以耶和華使這一切災禍臨到他們。
