1Now King Solomon loved many foreign women along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women,
1所羅門王在法老的女兒之外，又寵愛許多外邦女子，就是摩押女子、亞捫女子、以東女子、西頓女子、赫人女子。
2from the nations concerning which the LORD had said to the sons of Israel, 'You shall not associate with them, nor shall they associate with you, [for] they will surely turn your heart away after their gods.' Solomon held fast to these in love.
2論到這些國的人，耶和華曾曉諭以色列人說：你們不可與他們往來相通，因為他們必誘惑你們的心去隨從他們的神。所羅門卻戀愛這些女子。
3He had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines, and his wives turned his heart away.
3所羅門有妃七百，都是公主；還有嬪三百。這些妃嬪誘惑他的心。
4For when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart away after other gods; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father [had been].
4所羅門年老的時候，他的妃嬪誘惑他的心去隨從別神，不效法他父親大衛誠誠實實地順服耶和華─他的 神。
5For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians and after Milcom the detestable idol of the Ammonites.
5因為所羅門隨從西頓人的女神亞斯他錄和亞捫人可憎的神米勒公。
6Solomon did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, and did not follow the LORD fully, as David his father [had done].
6所羅門行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，不效法他父親大衛專心順從耶和華。
7Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable idol of Moab, on the mountain which is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech the detestable idol of the sons of Ammon.
7所羅門為摩押可憎的神基抹和亞捫人可憎的神摩洛，在耶路撒冷對面的山上建築邱壇。
8Thus also he did for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.
8他為那些向自己的神燒香獻祭的外邦女子，就是他娶來的妃嬪也是這樣行。
9Now the LORD was angry with Solomon because his heart was turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,
9耶和華向所羅門發怒，因為他的心偏離向他兩次顯現的耶和華─以色列的神。
10and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not observe what the LORD had commanded.
10耶和華曾吩咐他不可隨從別神，他卻沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐的。
11So the LORD said to Solomon, 'Because you have done this, and you have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.
11所以耶和華對他說：你既行了這事，不遵守我所吩咐你守的約和律例，我必將你的國奪回，賜給你的臣子。
12'Nevertheless I will not do it in your days for the sake of your father David, [but] I will tear it out of the hand of your son.
12然而，因你父親大衛的緣故，我不在你活著的日子行這事，必從你兒子的手中將國奪回。
13'However, I will not tear away all the kingdom, [but] I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of My servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.'
13只是我不將全國奪回，要因我僕人大衛和我所選擇的耶路撒冷，還留一支派給你的兒子。
14Then the LORD raised up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was of the royal line in Edom.
14耶和華使以東人哈達興起，作所羅門的敵人；他是以東王的後裔。
15For it came about, when David was in Edom, and Joab the commander of the army had gone up to bury the slain, and had struck down every male in Edom
15先前大衛攻擊以東，元帥約押上去葬埋陣亡的人，將以東的男丁都殺了。
16(for Joab and all Israel stayed there six months, until he had cut off every male in Edom),
16約押和以色列眾人在以東住了六個月，直到將以東的男丁盡都剪除。
17that Hadad fled to Egypt, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him, while Hadad [was] a young boy.
17那時哈達還是幼童；他和他父親的臣僕，幾個以東人逃往埃及。
18They arose from Midian and came to Paran; and they took men with them from Paran and came to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave him a house and assigned him food and gave him land.
18他們從米甸起行，到了巴蘭；從巴蘭帶著幾個人來到埃及見埃及王法老；法老為他派定糧食，又給他房屋田地。
19Now Hadad found great favor before Pharaoh, so that he gave him in marriage the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
19哈達在法老面前大蒙恩惠，以致法老將王后答比匿的妹子賜他為妻。
20The sister of Tahpenes bore his son Genubath, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's house; and Genubath was in Pharaoh's house among the sons of Pharaoh.
20答比匿的妹子給哈達生了一個兒子，名叫基努拔。答比匿使基努拔在法老的宮裡斷奶，基努拔就與法老的眾子一同住在法老的宮裡。
21But when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers and that Joab the commander of the army was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, 'Send me away, that I may go to my own country.'
21哈達在埃及聽見大衛與他列祖同睡，元帥約押也死了，就對法老說：求王容我回本國去。
22Then Pharaoh said to him, 'But what have you lacked with me, that behold, you are seeking to go to your own country?' And he answered, 'Nothing; nevertheless you must surely let me go.'
22法老對他說：你在我這裡有甚麼缺乏，你竟要回你本國去呢？他回答說：我沒有缺乏甚麼，只是求王容我回去。
23God also raised up [another] adversary to him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah.
23神又使以利亞大的兒子利遜興起，作所羅門的敵人。他先前逃避主人瑣巴王哈大底謝。
24He gathered men to himself and became leader of a marauding band, after David slew them of [Zobah]; and they went to Damascus and stayed there, and reigned in Damascus.
24大衛擊殺瑣巴人的時候，利遜招聚了一群人，自己作他們的頭目，往大馬色居住，在那裡作王。
25So he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, along with the evil that Hadad [did]; and he abhorred Israel and reigned over Aram.
25所羅門活著的時候，哈達為患之外，利遜也作以色列的敵人。他恨惡以色列人，且作了亞蘭人的王。
26Then Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite of Zeredah, Solomon's servant, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow, also rebelled against the king.
26所羅門的臣僕、尼八的兒子耶羅波安也舉手攻擊王。他是以法蓮支派的洗利達人，他母親是寡婦，名叫洗魯阿。
27Now this was the reason why he rebelled against the king: Solomon built the Millo, [and] closed up the breach of the city of his father David.
27他舉手攻擊王的緣故，乃由先前所羅門建造米羅，修補他父親大衛城的破口。
28Now the man Jeroboam was a valiant warrior, and when Solomon saw that the young man was industrious, he appointed him over all the forced labor of the house of Joseph.
28耶羅波安是大有才能的人。所羅門見這少年人殷勤，就派他監管約瑟家的一切工程。
29It came about at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him on the road. Now Ahijah had clothed himself with a new cloak; and both of them were alone in the field.
29一日，耶羅波安出了耶路撒冷，示羅人先知亞希雅在路上遇見他；亞希雅身上穿著一件新衣。他們二人在田野，以外並無別人。
30Then Ahijah took hold of the new cloak which was on him and tore it into twelve pieces.
30亞希雅將自己穿的那件新衣撕成十二片，
31He said to Jeroboam, 'Take for yourself ten pieces; for thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and give you ten tribes
31對耶羅波安說：你可以拿十片。耶和華─以色列的神如此說：我必將國從所羅門手裡奪回，將十個支派賜給你。
32(but he will have one tribe, for the sake of My servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel),
32（我因僕人大衛和我在以色列眾支派中所選擇的耶路撒冷城的緣故，仍給所羅門留一個支派。）
33because they have forsaken Me, and have worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of Moab, and Milcom the god of the sons of Ammon; and they have not walked in My ways, doing what is right in My sight and [observing] My statutes and My ordinances, as his father David [did].
33因為他離棄我，敬拜西頓人的女神亞斯他錄、摩押的 神基抹，和亞捫人的 神米勒公，沒有遵從我的道，行我眼中看為正的事，守我的律例典章，像他父親大衛一樣。
34'Nevertheless I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, but I will make him ruler all the days of his life, for the sake of My servant David whom I chose, who observed My commandments and My statutes;
34但我不從他手裡將全國奪回；使他終身為君，是因我所揀選的僕人大衛謹守我的誡命律例。
35but I will take the kingdom from his son's hand and give it to you, [even] ten tribes.
35我必從他兒子的手裡將國奪回，以十個支派賜給你，
36'But to his son I will give one tribe, that My servant David may have a lamp always before Me in Jerusalem, the city where I have chosen for Myself to put My name.
36還留一個支派給他的兒子，使我僕人大衛在我所選擇立我名的耶路撒冷城裡，在我面前長有燈光。
37'I will take you, and you shall reign over whatever you desire, and you shall be king over Israel.
37我必揀選你，使你照心裡一切所願的，作王治理以色列。
38'Then it will be, that if you listen to all that I command you and walk in My ways, and do what is right in My sight by observing My statutes and My commandments, as My servant David did, then I will be with you and build you an enduring house as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you.
38你若聽從我一切所吩咐你的，遵行我的道，行我眼中看為正的事，謹守我的律例誡命，像我僕人大衛所行的，我就與你同在，為你立堅固的家，像我為大衛所立的一樣，將以色列人賜給你。
39'Thus I will afflict the descendants of David for this, but not always.''
39我必因所羅門所行的使大衛後裔受患難，但不至於永遠。
40Solomon sought therefore to put Jeroboam to death; but Jeroboam arose and fled to Egypt to Shishak king of Egypt, and he was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
40所羅門因此想要殺耶羅波安。耶羅波安卻起身逃往埃及；到了埃及王示撒那裡，就住在埃及，直到所羅門死了。
41Now the rest of the acts of Solomon and whatever he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
41所羅門其餘的事，凡他所行的和他的智慧都寫在所羅門記上。
42Thus the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
42所羅門在耶路撒冷作以色列眾人的王共四十年。
43And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of his father David, and his son Rehoboam reigned in his place.
43所羅門與他列祖同睡，葬在他父親大衛的城裡。他兒子羅波安接續他作王。
