1Now David assembled at Jerusalem all the officials of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the commanders of the divisions that served the king, and the commanders of thousands, and the commanders of hundreds, and the overseers of all the property and livestock belonging to the king and his sons, with the officials and the mighty men, even all the valiant men.
1大衛招聚以色列各支派的首領和輪班服事王的軍長，與千夫長、百夫長，掌管王和王子產業牲畜的，並太監，以及大能的勇士，都到耶路撒冷來。
2Then King David rose to his feet and said, 'Listen to me, my brethren and my people; I [had] intended to build a permanent home for the ark of the covenant of the LORD and for the footstool of our God. So I had made preparations to build [it].
2大衛王就站起來，說：我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，你們當聽我言，我心裡本想建造殿宇，安放耶和華的約櫃，作為我神的腳凳；我已經預備建造的材料。
3'But God said to me, 'You shall not build a house for My name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.'
3只是神對我說：你不可為我的名建造殿宇；因你是戰士，流了人的血。
4'Yet, the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me from all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father's house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make [me] king over all Israel.
4然而，耶和華─以色列的神在我父的全家揀選我作以色列的王，直到永遠。因他揀選猶大為首領；在猶大支派中揀選我父家，在我父的眾子裡喜悅我，立我作以色列眾人的王。
5'Of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons), He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
5耶和華賜我許多兒子，在我兒子中揀選所羅門坐耶和華的國位，治理以色列人。
6'He said to me, 'Your son Solomon is the one who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a father to him.
6耶和華對我說：你兒子所羅門必建造我的殿和院宇；因為我揀選他作我的子，我也必作他的父。
7'I will establish his kingdom forever if he resolutely performs My commandments and My ordinances, as is done now.'
7他若恆久遵行我的誡命典章如今日一樣，我就必堅定他的國位，直到永遠。
8'So now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek after all the commandments of the LORD your God so that you may possess the good land and bequeath [it] to your sons after you forever.
8現今在耶和華的會中，以色列眾人眼前所說的，我們的神也聽見了。你們應當尋求耶和華─你們 神的一切誡命，謹守遵行，如此你們可以承受這美地，遺留給你們的子孫，永遠為業。
9'As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
9我兒所羅門哪，你當認識耶和華─你父的神，誠心樂意地事奉他；因為他鑒察眾人的心，知道一切心思意念。你若尋求他，他必使你尋見；你若離棄他，他必永遠丟棄你。
10'Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be courageous and act.'
10你當謹慎，因耶和華揀選你建造殿宇作為聖所。你當剛強去行。
11Then David gave to his son Solomon the plan of the porch [of the temple], its buildings, its storehouses, its upper rooms, its inner rooms and the room for the mercy seat;
11大衛將殿的遊廊、旁屋、府庫、樓房、內殿，和施恩所的樣式指示他兒子所羅門，
12and the plan of all that he had in mind, for the courts of the house of the LORD, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the storehouses of the house of God and for the storehouses of the dedicated things;
12又將被靈感動所得的樣式，就是耶和華神殿的院子、周圍的房屋、殿的府庫，和聖物府庫的一切樣式都指示他；
13also for the divisions of the priests and the Levites and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD and for all the utensils of service in the house of the LORD;
13又指示他祭司和利未人的班次與耶和華殿裡各樣的工作，並耶和華殿裡一切器皿的樣式，
14for the golden [utensils], the weight of gold for all utensils for every kind of service; for the silver utensils, the weight [of silver] for all utensils for every kind of service;
14以及各樣應用金器的分兩和各樣應用銀器的分兩，
15and the weight [of gold] for the golden lampstands and their golden lamps, with the weight of each lampstand and its lamps; and [the weight of silver] for the silver lampstands, with the weight of each lampstand and its lamps according to the use of each lampstand;
15金燈臺和金燈的分兩，銀燈臺和銀燈的分兩，輕重各都合宜；
16and the gold by weight for the tables of showbread, for each table; and silver for the silver tables;
16陳設餅金桌子的分兩，銀桌子的分兩，
17and the forks, the basins, and the pitchers of pure gold; and for the golden bowls with the weight for each bowl; and for the silver bowls with the weight for each bowl;
17精金的肉叉子、盤子，和爵的分兩，各金碗與各銀碗的分兩，
18and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the model of the chariot, [even] the cherubim that spread out [their wings] and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
18精金香壇的分兩，並用金子做基路伯(原文作用金子做車式的基路伯)；基路伯張開翅膀，遮掩耶和華的約櫃。
19'All [this],' [said David], 'the LORD made me understand in writing by His hand upon me, all the details of this pattern.'
19大衛說：這一切工作的樣式都是耶和華用手劃出來使我明白的。
20Then David said to his son Solomon, 'Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.
20大衛又對他兒子所羅門說：你當剛強壯膽去行！不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。因為耶和華神就是我的 神，與你同在；他必不撇下你，也不丟棄你，直到耶和華殿的工作都完畢了。
21'Now behold, [there are] the divisions of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God, and every willing man of any skill will be with you in all the work for all kinds of service. The officials also and all the people will be entirely at your command.'
21有祭司和利未人的各班，為要辦理神殿各樣的事，又有靈巧的人在各樣的工作上樂意幫助你；並有眾首領和眾民一心聽從你的命令。
