1Why do You stand afar off, O LORD? Why do You hide [Yourself] in times of trouble?
1耶和華啊，你為甚麼站在遠處？在患難的時候為甚麼隱藏？
2In pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.
2惡人在驕橫中把困苦人追得火急；願他們陷在自己所設的計謀裡。
3For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire, And the greedy man curses [and] spurns the LORD.
3因為惡人以心願自誇；貪財的背棄耶和華，並且輕慢他（或譯：他祝福貪財的，卻輕慢耶和華）。
4The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek [Him]. All his thoughts are, 'There is no God.'
4惡人面帶驕傲，說：耶和華必不追究；他一切所想的都以為沒有神。
5His ways prosper at all times; Your judgments are on high, out of his sight; As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.
5凡他所做的，時常穩固；你的審判超過他的眼界。至於他一切的敵人，他都向他們噴氣。
6He says to himself, 'I will not be moved; Throughout all generations I will not be in adversity.'
6他心裡說：我必不動搖，世世代代不遭災難。
7His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.
7他滿口是咒罵、詭詐、欺壓，舌底是毒害、奸惡。
8He sits in the lurking places of the villages; In the hiding places he kills the innocent; His eyes stealthily watch for the unfortunate.
8他在村莊埋伏等候；他在隱密處殺害無辜的人。他的眼睛窺探無倚無靠的人；
9He lurks in a hiding place as a lion in his lair; He lurks to catch the afflicted; He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his net.
9他埋伏在暗地，如獅子蹲在洞中。他埋伏，要擄去困苦人；他拉網，就把困苦人擄去。
10He crouches, he bows down, And the unfortunate fall by his mighty ones.
10他屈身蹲伏，無倚無靠的人就倒在他爪牙（爪牙：或譯強暴人）之下。
11He says to himself, 'God has forgotten; He has hidden His face; He will never see it.'
11他心裡說：神竟忘記了；他掩面永不觀看。
12Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up Your hand. Do not forget the afflicted.
12耶和華啊，求你起來！神啊，求你舉手，不要忘記困苦人！
13Why has the wicked spurned God? He has said to himself, 'You will not require [it].'
13惡人為何輕慢神，心裡說：你必不追究？
14You have seen [it], for You have beheld mischief and vexation to take it into Your hand. The unfortunate commits [himself] to You; You have been the helper of the orphan.
14其實你已經觀看；因為奸惡毒害，你都看見了，為要以手施行報應。無倚無靠的人把自己交託你；你向來是幫助孤兒的。
15Break the arm of the wicked and the evildoer, Seek out his wickedness until You find none.
15願你打斷惡人的膀臂；至於壞人，願你追究他的惡，直到淨盡。
16The LORD is King forever and ever; Nations have perished from His land.
16耶和華永永遠遠為王；外邦人從他的地已經滅絕了。
17O LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear
17耶和華啊，謙卑人的心願，你早已知道（原文是聽見）。你必預備他們的心，也必側耳聽他們的祈求，
18To vindicate the orphan and the oppressed, So that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror.
18為要給孤兒和受欺壓的人伸冤，使強橫的人不再威嚇他們。
