1Hear this word which the LORD has spoken against you, sons of Israel, against the entire family which He brought up from the land of Egypt:
1以色列人哪，你們全家是我從埃及地領上來的，當聽耶和華攻擊你們的話：
2'You only have I chosen among all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.'
2在地上萬族中，我只認識你們；因此，我必追討你們的一切罪孽。
3Do two men walk together unless they have made an appointment?
3二人若不同心，豈能同行呢？
4Does a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Does a young lion growl from his den unless he has captured [something]?
4獅子若非抓食，豈能在林中咆哮呢？少壯獅子若無所得，豈能從洞中發聲呢？
5Does a bird fall into a trap on the ground when there is no bait in it? Does a trap spring up from the earth when it captures nothing at all?
5若沒有機檻，雀鳥豈能陷在網羅裡呢？網羅若無所得，豈能從地上翻起呢？
6If a trumpet is blown in a city will not the people tremble? If a calamity occurs in a city has not the LORD done it?
6城中若吹角，百姓豈不驚恐呢？災禍若臨到一城，豈非耶和華所降的麼？
7Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets.
7主耶和華若不將奧秘指示他的僕人─眾先知，就一無所行。
8A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy?
8獅子吼叫，誰不懼怕呢？主耶和華發命，誰能不說預言呢？
9Proclaim on the citadels in Ashdod and on the citadels in the land of Egypt and say, 'Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria and see [the] great tumults within her and [the] oppressions in her midst.
9要在亞實突的宮殿中和埃及地的宮殿裡傳揚說：你們要聚集在撒瑪利亞的山上，就看見城中有何等大的擾亂與欺壓的事。
10'But they do not know how to do what is right,' declares the LORD, 'these who hoard up violence and devastation in their citadels.'
10那些以強暴搶奪財物、積蓄在自己家中的人不知道行正直的事。這是耶和華說的。
11Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'An enemy, even one surrounding the land, Will pull down your strength from you And your citadels will be looted.'
11所以主耶和華如此說：敵人必來圍攻這地，使你的勢力衰微，搶掠你的家宅。
12Thus says the LORD, 'Just as the shepherd snatches from the lion's mouth a couple of legs or a piece of an ear, So will the sons of Israel dwelling in Samaria be snatched away-- With [the] corner of a bed and [the] cover of a couch!
12耶和華如此說：牧人怎樣從獅子口中搶回兩條羊腿或半個耳朵，住撒瑪利亞的以色列人躺臥在床角上或鋪繡花毯的榻上，他們得救也不過如此。
13'Hear and testify against the house of Jacob,' Declares the Lord GOD, the God of hosts.
13主耶和華─萬軍之神說：當聽這話，警戒雅各家。
14'For on the day that I punish Israel's transgressions, I will also punish the altars of Bethel; The horns of the altar will be cut off And they will fall to the ground.
14我討以色列罪的日子，也要討伯特利祭壇的罪；壇角必被砍下，墜落於地。
15'I will also smite the winter house together with the summer house; The houses of ivory will also perish And the great houses will come to an end,' Declares the LORD.
15我要拆毀過冬和過夏的房屋。象牙的房屋也必毀滅；高大的房屋都歸無有。這是耶和華說的。
