1Three years passed without war between Aram and Israel.
1亞蘭國和以色列國三年沒有爭戰。
2In the third year Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel.
2到第三年，猶大王約沙法下去見以色列王。
3Now the king of Israel said to his servants, 'Do you know that Ramoth-gilead belongs to us, and we are still doing nothing to take it out of the hand of the king of Aram?'
3以色列王對臣僕說：你們不知道基列的拉末是屬我們的麼？我們豈可靜坐不動，不從亞蘭王手裡奪回來麼？
4And he said to Jehoshaphat, 'Will you go with me to battle at Ramoth-gilead?' And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, 'I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.'
4亞哈問約沙法說：你肯同我去攻取基列的拉末嗎？約沙法對以色列王說：你我不分彼此，我的民與你的民一樣，我的馬與你的馬一樣。
5Moreover, Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, 'Please inquire first for the word of the LORD.'
5約沙法對以色列王說：請你先求問耶和華。
6Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, 'Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle or shall I refrain?' And they said, 'Go up, for the Lord will give [it] into the hand of the king.'
6於是以色列王招聚先知，約有四百人，問他們說：我上去攻取基列的拉末可以不可以？他們說：可以上去，因為主必將那城交在王的手裡。
7But Jehoshaphat said, 'Is there not yet a prophet of the LORD here that we may inquire of him?'
7約沙法說：這裡不是還有耶和華的先知，我們可以求問他麼？
8The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the LORD, but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. [He is] Micaiah son of Imlah.' But Jehoshaphat said, 'Let not the king say so.'
8以色列王對約沙法說：還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。只是我恨他；因為他指著我所說的預言，不說吉語，單說凶言。約沙法說：王不必這樣說。
9Then the king of Israel called an officer and said, 'Bring quickly Micaiah son of Imlah.'
9以色列王就召了一個太監來，說：你快去，將音拉的兒子米該雅召來。
10Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah were sitting each on his throne, arrayed in [their] robes, at the threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.
10以色列王和猶大王約沙法在撒瑪利亞城門前的空場上，各穿朝服，坐在位上，所有的先知都在他們面前說預言。
11Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made horns of iron for himself and said, 'Thus says the LORD, 'With these you will gore the Arameans until they are consumed.''
11基拿拿的兒子西底家造了兩個鐵角，說：耶和華如此說：你要用這角牴觸亞蘭人，直到將他們滅盡。
12All the prophets were prophesying thus, saying, 'Go up to Ramoth-gilead and prosper, for the LORD will give [it] into the hand of the king.'
12所有的先知也都這樣預言說：可以上基列的拉末去，必然得勝，因為耶和華必將那城交在王的手中。
13Then the messenger who went to summon Micaiah spoke to him saying, 'Behold now, the words of the prophets are uniformly favorable to the king. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably.'
13那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說；眾先知一口同音地都向王說吉言，你不如與他們說一樣的話，也說吉言。
14But Micaiah said, 'As the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that I shall speak.'
14米該雅說：我指著永生的耶和華起誓，耶和華對我說甚麼，我就說甚麼。
15When he came to the king, the king said to him, 'Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall we refrain?' And he answered him, 'Go up and succeed, and the LORD will give [it] into the hand of the king.'
15米該雅到王面前，王問他說：米該雅啊，我們上去攻取基列的拉末可以不可以？他回答說：可以上去，必然得勝，耶和華必將那城交在王的手中。
16Then the king said to him, 'How many times must I adjure you to speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?'
16王對他說：我當囑咐你幾次，你才奉耶和華的名向我說實話呢？
17So he said, 'I saw all Israel Scattered on the mountains, Like sheep which have no shepherd. And the LORD said, 'These have no master. Let each of them return to his house in peace.''
17米該雅說：我看見以色列眾民散在山上，如同沒有牧人的羊群一般。耶和華說：這民沒有主人，他們可以平平安安地各歸各家去。
18Then the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?'
18以色列王對約沙法說：我豈沒有告訴你，這人指著我所說的預言，不說吉語單說凶言麼？
19Micaiah said, 'Therefore, hear the word of the LORD. I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right and on His left.
19米該雅說：你要聽耶和華的話！我看見耶和華坐在寶座上，天上的萬軍侍立在他左右。
20'The LORD said, 'Who will entice Ahab to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?' And one said this while another said that.
20耶和華說：誰去引誘亞哈上基列的拉末去陣亡呢？這個就這樣說，那個就那樣說。
21'Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD and said, 'I will entice him.'
21隨後有一個神靈出來，站在耶和華面前，說：我去引誘他。
22'The LORD said to him, 'How?' And he said, 'I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' Then He said, 'You are to entice [him] and also prevail. Go and do so.'
22耶和華問他說：你用何法呢？他說：我去，要在他眾先知口中作謊言的靈。耶和華說：這樣，你必能引誘他，你去如此行罷！
23'Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and the LORD has proclaimed disaster against you.'
23現在耶和華使謊言的靈入了你這些先知的口，並且耶和華已經命定降禍與你。
24Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said, 'How did the Spirit of the LORD pass from me to speak to you?'
24基拿拿的兒子西底家前來，打米該雅的臉，說：耶和華的靈從哪裡離開我與你說話呢？
25Micaiah said, 'Behold, you shall see on that day when you enter an inner room to hide yourself.'
25米該雅說：你進嚴密的屋子藏躲的那日，就必看見了。
26Then the king of Israel said, 'Take Micaiah and return him to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king's son;
26以色列王說：將米該雅帶回，交給邑宰亞們和王的兒子約阿施，說
27and say, 'Thus says the king, 'Put this man in prison and feed him sparingly with bread and water until I return safely.'''
27王如此說，把這個人下在監裡，使他受苦，吃不飽喝不足，等候我平平安安地回來。
28Micaiah said, 'If you indeed return safely the LORD has not spoken by me.' And he said, 'Listen, all you people.'
28米該雅說：你若能平平安安地回來，那就是耶和華沒有藉我說這話了；又說：眾民哪，你們都要聽！
29So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up against Ramoth-gilead.
29以色列王和猶大王約沙法上基列的拉末去了。
30The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'I will disguise myself and go into the battle, but you put on your robes.' So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into the battle.
30以色列王對約沙法說：我要改裝上陣，你可以仍穿王服。以色列王就改裝上陣。
31Now the king of Aram had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, 'Do not fight with small or great, but with the king of Israel alone.'
31先是亞蘭王吩咐他的三十二個車兵長說：他們的兵將，無論大小，你們都不可與他們爭戰，只要與以色列王爭戰。
32So when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, 'Surely it is the king of Israel,' and they turned aside to fight against him, and Jehoshaphat cried out.
32車兵長看見約沙法，便說：這必是以色列王！就轉過去與他爭戰，約沙法便呼喊。
33When the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.
33車兵長見不是以色列王，就轉去不追他了。
34Now a certain man drew his bow at random and struck the king of Israel in a joint of the armor. So he said to the driver of his chariot, 'Turn around and take me out of the fight; for I am severely wounded.'
34有一人隨便開弓，恰巧射入以色列王的甲縫裡。王對趕車的說：我受了重傷，你轉過車來，拉我出陣罷！
35The battle raged that day, and the king was propped up in his chariot in front of the Arameans, and died at evening, and the blood from the wound ran into the bottom of the chariot.
35那日，陣勢越戰越猛，有人扶王站在車上，抵擋亞蘭人。到晚上，王就死了，血從傷處流在車中。
36Then a cry passed throughout the army close to sunset, saying, 'Every man to his city and every man to his country.'
36約在日落的時候，有號令傳遍軍中，說：各歸本城，各歸本地罷！
37So the king died and was brought to Samaria, and they buried the king in Samaria.
37王既死了，眾人將他送到撒瑪利亞，就葬在那裡；
38They washed the chariot by the pool of Samaria, and the dogs licked up his blood (now the harlots bathed themselves [there]), according to the word of the LORD which He spoke.
38又有人把他的車洗在撒瑪利亞的池旁（妓女在那裡洗澡），狗來舔他的血，正如耶和華所說的話。
39Now the rest of the acts of Ahab and all that he did and the ivory house which he built and all the cities which he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
39亞哈其餘的事，凡他所行的和他所修造的象牙宮，並所建築的一切城邑，都寫在以色列諸王記上。
40So Ahab slept with his fathers, and Ahaziah his son became king in his place.
40亞哈與他列祖同睡。他兒子亞哈謝接續他作王。
41Now Jehoshaphat the son of Asa became king over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.
41以色列王亞哈第四年，亞撒的兒子約沙法登基作了猶大王。
42Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
42約沙法登基的時候年三十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十五年。他母親名叫阿蘇巴，乃示利希的女兒。
43He walked in all the way of Asa his father; he did not turn aside from it, doing right in the sight of the LORD. However, the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burnt incense on the high places.
43約沙法行他父親亞撒所行的道，不偏離左右，行耶和華眼中看為正的事；只是邱壇還沒有廢去，百姓仍在那裡獻祭燒香。
44Jehoshaphat also made peace with the king of Israel.
44約沙法與以色列王和好。
45Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might which he showed and how he warred, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
45約沙法其餘的事和他所顯出的勇力，並他怎樣爭戰，都寫在猶大列王記上。
46The remnant of the sodomites who remained in the days of his father Asa, he expelled from the land.
46約沙法將他父親亞撒在世所剩下的孌童都從國中除去了。
47Now there was no king in Edom; a deputy was king.
47那時以東沒有王，有總督治理。
48Jehoshaphat made ships of Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold, but they did not go for the ships were broken at Ezion-geber.
48約沙法製造他施船隻，要往俄斐去，將金子運來；只是沒有去，因為船在以旬迦別破壞了。
49Then Ahaziah the son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, 'Let my servants go with your servants in the ships.' But Jehoshaphat was not willing.
49亞哈的兒子亞哈謝對約沙法說：容我的僕人和你的僕人坐船同去罷！約沙法卻不肯。
50And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of his father David, and Jehoram his son became king in his place.
50約沙法與列祖同睡。葬在大衛城他列祖的墳地裡。他兒子約蘭接續他作王。
51Ahaziah the son of Ahab became king over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned two years over Israel.
51猶大王約沙法十七年，亞哈的兒子亞哈謝在撒瑪利亞登基，作以色列王共二年。
52He did evil in the sight of the LORD and walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
52他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他的父母，又行尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的事。
53So he served Baal and worshiped him and provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger, according to all that his father had done.
53他照他父親一切所行的，事奉敬拜巴力，惹耶和華─以色列神的怒氣。
